A Tip For You

Sometimes in our efforts to reach you, the dancer, we use what is referred to as a tract. For those unfamiliar with the term, a tract is pretty much just a piece of paper that briefly shares a little bit about God. They are usually small, short, and to the point.

In 2000, a pastor friend of ours, Manuel Galindo, was visiting with Tammy Dahl from Out of Exile Ministries in Orlando, Florida. When he and Tammy went into one of the local clubs, they were armed with a bunch of the new golden coin dollars. If you haven't yet seen one, they have the face of the indian maiden Sacajawejia on one side, and a soaring eagle on the other. Well, the Lord inspired Tammy and so she began to write using the napkins as her paper. It was a reminder to each dancer, as the coin so creatively expressed, that she has the strength of a woman, that she can soar like an eagle, but how to God, she is more precious than gold. They then wrapped the coins up in the napkins with this message on it and began to tip the dancers. That night they were blessed with hugs and tears from the girls and a new sense of assurance in doing the will of God.

In September, Galindo took us to "The Talk of The Town" which is a nude club in Las Vegas. So, here we were, armed with our gold coins and ready to learn from Galindo's lead. Next thing I know, as one of the dancers approaches us, Galindo invites her to sit down between us. So, I'm all ears anticipating how he is going to break the ice with his conversation when he says to her, "Lisanne has something she wants to share with you." And they both look at me! My heart is pounding! All of the cool stuff about the coin goes out of my head and all I can think to say is the last part about how in God's eyes, she is more precious than gold. That was all that needed to be said. There are no words more true!

Since we had already developed the tract, we just put those words of truth on the front and aligned them to accomodate a great fold that Tom had developed so that the coin is actually snuggled inside of the tract, like a precious treasure awaiting discovery. Since we can't make our way into every club across the country, we want to share the message of this tract with you just the same. Normally it's printed on both sides and trifolded, (when not being used to house the coin.) We've left enough room on the back so that a person could fill in their contact information because we also recognize that there are dancers out there who as Christians, would like to share their faith with those they work with, but may feel hypocritical in doing so. We've also recently developed a second tract for the same purpose. It is set up the same way, the only difference is that this one is a simple bi-fold tract. Hopefully, this tract will remind you of how much you are loved by God and perhaps enable you to share that love with those around you.
