Soldiers For Jesus

This is the weaving of God at His best once again! In Sturgis, some of the Soldiers I met remembered me from the Easyriders show in Dallas earlier this year. Then of course their was Gina & Rags wedding that I had the incredible honor of being a part of! But when I hit Albuquerque for the next show I attended, the SFJ set up right beside me! One of them came over and introduced himself and my mouth hit the floor as he spoke. He was Pastor Mike, Phoenix Chapter President of the Soldiers for Jesus....but he was also the same Pastor Mike I had heard about for years as he originated Church In The Wind, the precursor to Church In The Son, the biker ministry of Phoenix First Assembly where my walk with the Lord began! Pastor Mike was also the driving force behind the Bus Ministry of "the big church"for 15 years. When I hit Phoenix the following week for the next bike show, there they were once again, as I knew they would be! And when they all jumped out of the truck, Jeanne and I saw that old crazy and familiar grin of Greg Puckett emerge from within! Pastor Mike came bearing a gift for me that is one of the most special things I've ever received....but I'll save that one for another time and place. Anyway, this time around God positioned them caddy corner from our table. I feel as though He has spread this umbrella, this covering for me, in the form of the Soldiers! What a wonderful time of fellowship that followed as God reunited us with one another and forged even more new friendships with the SJF! From left to right is the unidentified man (sorry dude!), Greg, Pastor Mike, Me, Rod, and Wayne... my new (and one old!) brothers in Christ!
